    Course Objectives The aim of this course is to learn how to organize working environment in a medical laboratory.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Define medical laboratory concept and management
    • Explain the authority and responsibilities of the employees in the medical laboratory and explain the organization chart of the laboratory
    • Define the working environment and how security will be ensured
    • Explain device and material management, technical specification writing, as well as laboratory information system
    • Define the rules to be complied with in the laboratory within the scope of patient safety, laboratory safety issues and health quality standards
    Course Description This course covers the definition of medical laboratory, information on duties and responsibilities, ensuring daily cleaning and ordering of working environment, control and management of materials, laboratory safety, patient safety in the laboratory and rules of health quality standards and laboratory information system management rules. It informs the quality concept in medical laboratories and international quality systems.
