Vocational School Of Health Services









Today, healthcare has evolved into a process that can only be accomplished with a successful teamwork. There is no doubt that any weak chain in this process will decrease the quality of service provided to stakeholders. Given this in hand, Izmir University of Economics has established the Vocational School of Health Services, in order to educate qualified technical personnel who will collaborate with physicians and nurses.
The main purpose of the Vocational School of Health Services is to educate graduates who:

  • are having recent knowledge and skills in the required field,
  • can adapt to the rapidly changing scientific, technological and social conditions in his/her field,
  • are excellent team members,
  • are able to develop good communication skills,
  • are sensitive to the environment and public health,
  • holds ethical and moral values

In the light of this, our vocational school prepares its students to the professional life with the contemporary course program which locates students into the center of attention. These programs allow our students to gain the necessary and most recent knowledge in their fields. Besides this the social-cultural environment in the campus which is supported by various student clubs help our students to developed their conversableness.

In our Vocational school there are three programs. In the 2013-2014 academic year the “Medical Documentation and Secretariat” and “Elderly Care” Programs were established. The following program, Paramedic, was established in 2014-2015 academic year. Child Development, Physiotherapy, Opticianry and Medical Imaging Techniques programs were established in 2015-2016 academic year. Program of Medical Laboratory Techniques was established in 2016-2017 academic year.

Our school offers some privileges including competence and experienced academic team, the high technical infrastructure of our university, elaborating course program reflecting the collaboration between university and health institutions which are compatible with Bologna Process.
