    Course Objectives It is aimed for the student to know the definition and historical development of the concept of infection, to be able to take the necessary precautions and provide appropriate care by knowing the causes of Covid -19 infection, hospital infections and important infectious diseases, and to reflect infection control in the hospital into their practices.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Be able to define the concept of infection.
    • Be able to follow signs and symptoms of infection in the elderly
    • Knows hospital infections and will be able to take the necessary precautions.
    • Know the definitions of sterilization and disinfection.
    • Explain respiratory diseases and prevention methods.
    • Knows urinary system infections and ways to prevent them.
    • Explain diseases transmitted through skin and mucosa and ways of protection.
    Course Description This is a course that explains common infectious diseases in elderly individuals and ways to protect against these diseases.
