    Course Objectives This course provides students with information about the basic topics of biology; It is aimed to understand the structure, function and basic genetic issues of the cell, to understand the metabolism and energy production in the cell, and to obtain information about the mechanisms effective in cell aging.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Will be able to comprehend and interpret biological events at the cell, tissue, organ, system and organism level.
    • Will be able to explain the basic features of life and living cells, the structure and function of biomolecules.
    • Will be able to learn the structure and functions of cells, cell membranes and organelles, and cell metabolism.
    • Will be able to define the cell cycle and its regulation.
    • Will be able to learn the mechanisms that are effective in cell aging and establishes a relationship between them.
    Course Description This course includes basic biological and genetic information, the structure and function of the cell, the molecular mechanism of aging, its causes, and the morphological and physiological changes that occur with aging.
