Course Objectives The aim of this course is to deal with the basic concepts of professional English related to the field of Medical Documentation and Secretarial and to develop the students' English speaking, understanding, writing and reading skills.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to communicate in English in situations such as patient reception, patient registration, referral.
  • Will be able to make sense of and write medical terms in simple English.
  • She/He will be able to ask patients for their personal information and complaints in English.
  • She/He will be able to give the necessary simple commands in English for patients.
  • Will be able to translate written English texts that he will encounter in the health facility.
Course Description These course includes English medical terms and English Communication practices with the patient.
