    Course Objectives With this course, it is aimed for students to define the concepts related to medical documentation and medical records, to understand the importance and legal aspect of the medical documentation and record system for health institutions and patients, to understand the role, duties and responsibilities of the medical secretary, and to gain awareness about the ethical issues that may be encountered in health services.In addition, with this course, it is aimed that the students gain the ability to use the ten-finger F keyboard accurately.

    1Describe the concepts of medical documentation and medical document and the importance of them.
    2Define the basic characteristics and types of medical documents.
    3Specify the principles of planning and organization of medical documentation operations.
    4Describe the roles, tasks and responsibilities of medical secretors
    5Organize patient files.
    6List the contents of patient file and other medical documents; put them in order and standardize the patient files.
    7Define the legal and ethical regulations related to medical documentation.
    8Write 10-finger F keyboard
    Course Description The course will cover lectures such as; the history of medical documentation, international developments, the importance of medical documentation and secretariat, the responsibilities of doctors, nurses, patients and secretariat in medical documentation and F keyboard typing.
