Ophthalmologist and optician are in charge to protect and treatment for human vision in Turkey. Ophthalmologist may medical operation, examine to human eye and write prescription while an optician's duty is make spectacle and sale contact lenses according to prescription. Additionally, the optician can sell sunglasses, occupational glasses and low vision aid.
The person who graduated with Opticianry program can open and manage own Optical Store and work other Optical Stores as Responsible Manager.
In accordance with the relevant regulations, graduates of the program may continue their education in four-year bachelor's degree programs in Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Physics, Optical and Acoustic Engineering, and Healthcare Management, provided that they successfully pass the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).
In accordance with TYT grade type results via central placement by the OSYM.
