Course Objectives To gain knowledge and skills about emergency care practice in trauma cases and environmental emergencies
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to identify trauma cases at the scene.
  • Will be able to provide emergency care to a patient with external bleeding or soft tissue trauma.
  • Will be able to plan appropriate treatment for spinal injuries.
  • Able to perform trauma intervention according to the mechanism of occurrence of the trauma case. Able to provide emergency treatment for abdominal and chest trauma.
  • Will be able to select and apply the type of splint appropriate to the type of trauma.
  • Will be able to apply appropriate immobilization techniques in trauma cases.
Course Description This course covers the treatment and immobilization techniques of traumatic patients in line with prehospital emergency care protocols.
