Course Objectives The aim of this course is to learn technological developments in the history of medical imaging techniques as chronologically.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Describe the development of Medical Imaging devices in a chronological order.
  • Describe the Medical imaging devices’ generations.
  • Describe Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen's life and works.
  • Describe the developments in medical imaging field since the existance of X-rays.
  • Describe the technological developments in the history of Medical Imaging Techniques in a chronological order.
Course Description Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen and his works, the discovery of X Rays, history of radiology, changes in radiology today from the discovery of X rays, history of Computed Tomography, history of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, history of Fluoroscopy, history of Ultrasonography, history of Mammography, history of Radiotherapy, history of Nuclear Medicine.
