Department of Medical Imaging TechniquesA Medical Imaging Technician is a qualified healthcare professional who uses ionizing and non-ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Medical Imaging Technicians prepare patients for imaging procedures and are competent in operating conventional and digital X-ray, fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography–computed tomography (PET/CT) systems. They are also responsible for the operation, inspection, and routine maintenance of imaging equipment and related devices.
Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an Associate Degree diploma and the professional title of Health Technician (Medical Imaging Technician).
The education language of the program is Turkish.
Graduates of the program may also continue their undergraduate education in the Bachelor's degree programs in Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing, and Health Management, provided that they successfully pass the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) in accordance with the relevant legislation.
