Course Objectives In this course, students will learn general practices and methods of the occupational therapy to increase of the quality of life of the elderly
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explain the importance of occupational therapy for old people
  • Produce activities for older people to live independently
  • Provide the elderly participation to selected tasks for maintaining or developing their skills of daily life
  • Choose appropriate material for the activities the elderly can make
  • Select the appropriate activity for the needs of elderly people
Course Description This course includes; basic principles and planning of occupational therapy, various objects, environmental regulation and ergonomy, cultural activities, fine arts activities, plant breeding and care of pets, neurodevelopmental treatment methods, biomechanical approaches, occupational therapies that can create economic value
