Course Objectives The aim of this course is to gain awareness about possible physical, chemical and biological hazards during laboratory studies and to learn precautions to be taken for protection.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the physical conditions of medical laboratories.
  • Explain risk management in medical laboratories.
  • Classify personal protective equipment and their properties.
  • Explain chemical, physical and biological safety in medical laboratories
  • Define waste management in medical laboratories
Course Description This course covers the rules of working in the medical laboratory, possible physical, chemical and biological hazards and methods of protection from these hazards.
