Course Objectives The aim of the course is to make students comprehend biomolecules and their tasks and learn biochemical processes and the metabolism occurs in the body
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the features and the structure of amino acids and proteins
  • Explain the structures and functions of nucleic acids
  • Classify the features and the structure of carbohydrates
  • Define the features and the structure of lipids.
  • Explain the protein, carbohydrate and lipid metabolisms
  • Classify the features, and structures of enzymes, vitamins and minerals.
Course Description This course covers the structure, function and metabolism of biomolecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids.
