Course Objectives The aim of the course is to make students comprehend biomolecules and their tasks and learn biochemical processes and the metabolism occurs in the body
Course Description The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the features and the structure of amino acids and proteins
  • Explain protein metabolism
  • Define the features and the structure of carbohydrates
  • Explain carbohydrate metabolism
  • Define the features and the structure of lipids.
  • Explain lipid metabolism
  • Define the features, and structures of enzymes, vitamins and minerals.
Course Content This course covers the structure, function and metabolism of biomolecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids.
