Course Objectives The aims of the course are to describe the widely used basic electrotherapy modalities in the clinic and to apply these modalities which are based on the principles of ergonomics with clinical practice together.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Use up-to-date information about the current characteristics and action mechanisms of electrotherapy modalities in the maintenance of the devices and making the necessary adjustments,
  • Choose the appropriate electrode for the treatment area to be applied and ergonomic positioning according to the pathology,
  • Define the problems during the application and treat properly with creative solutions,
  • Provide correct and open communication with the patient, patient relatives, colleagues and the administration,
  • Fulfill the requirements of occupational safety and environmental protection rules before, during and after treatment,
  • Define ethical problems that may arise throughout his professional life and reason about appropriate behavior.
Course Description The course of the semester is defined as follows; diadynamic current and practice application, interference current and practice application, Russian current and fields of application, high-voltage discrete galvanic stimulation and practice application, laser and practice application, the biofeedback mechanism and practice application and finally comparison of electrotherapy
